1. Origins of Go Dharmic - Hanuman Dass, what was the pivotal moment that led you to establish Go Dharmic, and how does it reflect your personal journey?

The seed of Go Dharmic was planted within me through my spiritual path. The pivotal moment was a realisation that Dharma, which means living in alignment with truth and compassion, had to be more than a personal pursuit. It needed to manifest in the world in ways that would serve others. Seeing so much suffering around, I felt called to act, to bring people together in the name of love, service, and non-violence, following the teachings of the great saint Neem Karoli Baba who said if we want to become enlightened we should serve the poor. Go Dharmic is an extension of this inner journey into the external world.

2. Dharma in Action - How do you translate the ancient concept of Dharma into practical, actionable initiatives through Go Dharmic?

Dharma is about living in harmony with the universe and understanding our responsibility toward each other. At Go Dharmic, we translate this ancient wisdom into practical action by focusing on service. Whether it's feeding those in need, supporting environmental initiatives, or promoting education, the common thread is compassion. Every action we take is rooted in the principle of "Love All, Feed All, Serve All," ensuring that we uplift those who need it most.

3. Volunteer Mobilization - With a vast network of volunteers, what strategies do you find most effective in engaging and retaining individuals in Go Dharmic's mission?

Engaging volunteers is about creating a community where people feel their contribution matters. We emphasise the idea of Seva, or selfless service, and make sure that every volunteer feels part of something bigger than themselves. Retaining them comes naturally when people are connected to a higher purpose, and we nurture that through love, care, and frequent communication. Every act of kindness becomes contagious when done in the spirit of Dharma.

4. Impactful Achievements - Could you highlight some of Go Dharmic's most significant achievements and their impact on the communities you serve?

There are so many moments that I hold dear, but what stands out is how to community sprang into action globally during covid. Thousands of volunteers served meals to the sick, elderly and isolated and really saved lives.

5. Interfaith Collaboration - How does Go Dharmic navigate interfaith dialogue and collaboration in its efforts to promote universal compassion?

Sanatana means universal so Dharma transcends religion, and Go Dharmic's work naturally lends itself to people of all faiths collaborating. We don't focus on what divides us but on what unites us: compassion, love, and service to humanity. By working together with people from all backgrounds, we show that the light of Dharma shines in all hearts. Our initiatives embrace this universality, celebrating the diversity of paths leading to the same truth.

6. Arjun Global's Synergy - As the Director of Arjun Global, how do you ensure synergy between your business endeavors and your philanthropic work with Go Dharmic?

At Arjun Global, we aim to bridge the world of business and social good. My vision is to ensure that our business efforts at Arjun Global are in alignment with our Dharmic principles—whether it's promoting ethical trade or working with partners who care about the environment and social impact. This synergy is not forced, it’s a natural flow of aligning material success with spiritual values.

 7. Yada Yoga's Philosophy - In what ways does Yada Yoga's philosophy align with the principles of Dharma, and how does it contribute to social well-being?

Yada Yoga teaches us to bring awareness and intention to our daily lives. It’s about the union of body, mind, and spirit, and that same philosophy drives our social work. At Go Dharmic, we carry the values of Yada Yoga into our actions, ensuring that each initiative fosters both inner and outer well-being. Whether it's through yoga classes or mindfulness in our programs, the aim is always holistic upliftment.

8. Sustainable Development Goals - Go Dharmic actively works towards the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Which of these goals are you most passionate about, and why?

While all the UN Sustainable Development Goals are important, I am particularly passionate about Zero Hunger and Climate Action. The Earth and her people are in pain, and it is our duty to respond with love and compassion. By feeding the hungry and advocating for environmental sustainability, we contribute directly to healing the world. These goals align closely with the principles of Dharma and the work we are here to do.

9. Challenges in Non-Profit Leadership - Leading a non-profit organization presents unique challenges. What are some that you've encountered, and how have you addressed them?

One of the biggest challenges is balancing the needs of the organization with the resources available. Often, there are more people in need than we have the capacity to serve. But I believe deeply in the power of collective action. By trusting in Dharma and the support of the universe, we continue to grow and serve despite these challenges. Faith and perseverance are key.

 10. The Role of Meditation and Mindfulness - How do meditation and mindfulness practices inform your leadership style and the culture within Go Dharmic?

Meditation is at the core of how I approach leadership. Through stillness, we gain clarity and strength, which allows us to lead from a place of love and compassion. This practice also informs the culture within Go Dharmic, where mindfulness is encouraged in everything we do. Whether it’s in organizing a food drive or collaborating with partners, we try to maintain a sense of presence and purpose.

11. Publications and Influence - Your publications offer wisdom from Hinduism. How do these writings influence the activities and direction of Go Dharmic?

The writings I’ve shared are extensions of the teachings I’ve received from saints and spiritual texts.

The Power of Dharma, The Hanuman Chalisa and most recently Ahimsa, Making peace with nature. The books offer guidance on how we can live in accordance with Dharma and serve others. These teachings influence the direction of Go Dharmic, providing a moral and spiritual framework for our activities. They remind us to keep our hearts open and stay connected to the deeper meaning behind our work.

12. Global Vision - What is your vision for Go Dharmic's global impact, especially in regions where the concept of Dharma may not be well-known?

My vision for Go Dharmic is to work for peace and love. Of course we want to expand our reach globally, spreading the message and service to all corners but even feeding a single child is like feeding the entire universe.  Even in places where Dharma may not be a familiar concept, its essence—compassion, kindness, and non-violence—resonates deeply with all people. We aim to touch more lives and create a global movement of kindness and social responsibility and that is my life's mission, to build a peace army.

13. Partnerships for Growth - What kinds of partnerships does Go Dharmic seek, and how do these collaborations advance your objectives?

We are always looking for partners who share our values and commitment to service. Whether it’s businesses, governments, or other non-profits, collaboration allows us to amplify our impact. Partnerships are key to scaling our initiatives and reaching more people. By working together, we can accomplish far more than any of us could alone.

14. Advice for Aspiring Social Entrepreneurs - What advice would you give to individuals looking to start their own social action or volunteer organizations?

My advice would be to stay true to your inner calling. The path of social entrepreneurship can be challenging, but if your work is rooted in love and service, the right support will come. Build a community around you, trust in the power of Dharma, and remember that even the smallest action can create ripples of change.

15. Getting Involved - For our readers who are inspired by your work, how can they get involved with Go Dharmic?

We welcome anyone who feels inspired by our work to join us. Whether through volunteering, donating, or sharing our message, there are many ways to get involved. You can visit the Go Dharmic website to learn more about our campaigns, or reach out to us directly. Together, we can continue to create a world filled with compassion, peace, and love.
